For the majority of men, the path to fatherhood is simple, and the hard part comes after being blessed with a healthy baby. But for those who experience infertility and pregnancy loss, the milestones that most take for granted in the course of building their families can feel painfully out of reach.
A growing field of research and treatment options have helped millions of hopeful couples become parents. Supportive online communities and an evolving media narrative are bringing women’s experiences out of the shadows and offer affirmation, encouragement, and space to connect.
For men, though, infertility and pregnancy loss can be hard to talk about, and for those who haven’t had an opportunity to develop the tools or communication skills to work through emotional struggles, recognizing and dealing with feelings of grief can be especially difficult.
When a man experiences such a loss, it’s devastating not only for his wife, but also for him. The trauma of this event affects his relationship with his spouse, with work and with family.
This is why we’re on a mission to help all men who are emotionally struggling
with miscarriage, and infertility.
